Minecraft Forge Memory Leak

Minecraft Forge Memory Leak. However, my mod doesn't focus on making my fps higher but make minecraft use less memory so i don't have any memory leaks (which makes minecraft faster). After a recent reformat im facing a weird memory leak as well and i cant figure it out, it seems no matter how i try to install java or uninstall java and put a different version on ill allocate 6gb for my modpack and itll climb all the way to 14.5gb of ram then freeze and kill itself.

The memory cleaning process also starts when your ram usage goes above a certain percent (configurable) or after a long period if none of the above conditions are met (also configurable). For example, if you're doing file i/o operations and keep opening up stream buffers for reading without ever closing them, or similarly with networking that usually uses buffers for the message payloads.

Finding Any Documentation On This Has Been Beyond Frustrating

Memory usage starts with 50 percent, goes to 75, then gc happens, goes back and forth, getting 20 fps. Only mod i had that was different was optifine i removed that and problem was still there. Usually, without forge, i can play for around 2 hours straight and maybe get around 750mb usage.

I Do Forge For Free, However The.

Ram usage on my pc goes to 99%. After checking the memory usage, i can say that it starts at about 50%, then after i play for a while it slowly climbs up to 100% and of course, once it reaches that, it freezes for like 10 seconds and the game stops responding in the meantime, then the memory usage drops back down to 80% ,the game works again, while its slowly climbing back up to 100% Watch as every time a player joins or connects to a new dimension, in the console it will start posting memory leak warnings every time this happens after a few hours the ram usage get's eaten up faster then a drunk man eating cheerios on a sunday morning

However, It's Fairly Hard To Debug, Unless You Have A Way To Reproduce It.

This just means that your computer has allocated approximately 3gb to the server because that is what your computer thinks it needs. I have 16gb of ram installed on my computer and i set my jvm arguments to be 8 gb, but i set it down to 6gb to see if it would fix the issue. What resource exactly do you think you're leaking?

The Memory Goes All The Way Up To My Ful 31 Available And I've Tried Removing All Mods Minecraft Still Leaks Memory.

Set jvm arguments to use half your installed ram. In c, its forgetting to dealloc the memory after removing a reference, in oop languages is not removing a reference to a block of memory since the dealloc is automatic. There seems to be a fairly serious memory leak in the current latest forge (or maybe fml, not sure which).

Upon Restarting Minecraft And Loading The Map You Were Using You Will Return To Spawn With No Items.

Also you can use the /cleanmemory command to free up your ram immediately. Follow edited oct 5 '21 at 15:27. However, my mod doesn't focus on making my fps higher but make minecraft use less memory so i don't have any memory leaks (which makes minecraft faster).
